EU Equal Pay for Equal work Directive – implementation to be compliant starts NOW
Korn Ferry will present insights into the Directive, outlining key legislative requirements, emerging trends, and leading market practices. Presenter will be Serkan Sener, head of Korn Ferry’s EMEA Total Rewards Practice, introduced by Mette Krogsrud, head of Korn Ferry in Norway.
The directive’s aims are to give effect to the principle which requires that Member States ensure “equal pay for male and female workers for equal work or work of equal value”, to eliminate both direct and indirect pay discrimination on grounds of sex and address the problem of the gender pay gap by focusing on pay transparency and strong enforcement mechanisms.
This session aims to equip board members with a practical understanding of the upcoming changes and how to turn compliance into a driver of trust, performance, and sustainable growth for the company. Key points include:
-
Overview of the EU Pay Transparency Directive and its timeline
-
How management should prepare and operationalize compliance
-
The board’s role in overseeing pay equity, risk management, and cultural implications
