World Economic Forum 2026 – debrief from last weeks talks in Davos
This year's Davos meeting will be dominated by the current risk-picture, but will in addition have focus on the need for collaboration, how to unlock sources of growth, skills and people development, the need for innovation and building prosperity within planetary boundries.
In this meeting, taking place on Thursday January 29, the week after WEF in Davos, we will hear the inside story of what really dominated the dialogue in the alps. Behind the headlines we all read about Trump and Greenland, what is being discussed?
You will hear from Andrew Caruna Galicia, head of Europe and Eurasia in WEF and a member of the organisation's Executive Committee. Andrew replaces Borge Brende, who has to go to Washington for meetings on the day.
In addition, two Norwegian executives. Hege Skryseth is Chief Technical Officer in Equinor and a board member in Tomra. She has been President of Kongsberg Digital and has a background from various tech companies such as Microsoft and Geodata (ESRI). Lasse Kristoffersen is CEO of Wallenius Wilhelmsen. He is vise chair of the Board of DNV and a board member in Gard. He has extensive background from the shipping industry.
